This policy covers the apps and websites published under the name Dog Ate My Computer (dogatemycomputer.top), including the app Volume Enforcer (Android package top.dogatemycomputer.volumeenforcer).
Volume Enforcer collects no personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The app does not create an account, and you never provide a name, email, or any other identifying information.
The app uses the network for exactly one thing: when you tap the Send logs button, it transmits the diagnostic log text described below to dogatemycomputer.top so we can troubleshoot a problem you report. Nothing is ever transmitted automatically, and no other data is ever sent.
Everything the app stores stays on your phone:
1. Your timer settings (countdown length and ramp time), saved locally so they survive app restarts.
2. Optional diagnostic logs (crash.log and volumelog.txt) written only to the app's private storage. They stay on your phone unless you act: tapping Send logs uploads them to dogatemycomputer.top for support, or you can share them yourself through any app you choose. They are never uploaded automatically.
The app requests the following Android permissions, each used only for the timer's core function:
1. Foreground service: keeps the timer running while the screen is off.
2. Wake lock: keeps the countdown accurate when the phone would otherwise sleep.
3. Notifications: shows the small silent status card with the live countdown, and nothing else.
4. Battery optimization exemption request: asks you, once, to allow the background timer to survive the phone's battery saver.
5. Start at boot: resumes the timer after a reboot if it was running.
We do not sell, rent, or share any information, because the app collects none. There is nothing to share.
The app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
